Nigeria’s National Soccer team at The Confederation Cup 2013

Nineteen years after winning the last time, Nigeria won Africa’s Nation Cup 2013. In the final played at Johannesburg, those called „the survivors” have defeated Burkina Faso in the last act with  the score of 1-0.

In the first game for Nigerians the Tahiti National, Ocean’ia’s champion in 2012, was clearly defeated, score of 1-6, at Belo Horizonte in Group B from the Confederation Cup.

The forward Nnamdi Oduamadi, under contract with AC Milan, has scored three times for the Africans, the other goals being scored by Uwa Elderson Echiéjilé (58) and Jonathan Tehau (68, auto-goal). Latter Nigeria has marked for Tahiti the honorific goal on minute 54, after a pass to captain Vahirua, ex-FC Nantes, the most famous player in the history of Tahiti.

In the second game the Uruguay’s National soccer team has won, with the score of 2-1, the represent of Nigeria, in a game counting for B Group at the Confederation Cup. In the game played in Salvador city, from Brazil, Uruguayans’s goals have been scored by Lugano in the 19th minute and Forlan in the 51th minute, while John Obi Mikel has marked for the Africans in minute 37th.

After this victory, the South-Americans have equaled the Nigerians in points (3), the two selected teams following to duel in the last stage of teams for the second position, in the conditions that Spain the leader (6) has already qualified.

Unfortunately in the third game Spain’s National Team has defeated Nigeria with the score of 3-0 (1-0), at Fortaleza, in group B at the Confederation Cup.
